libbitcoin-dev software package provides Bitcoin toolkit library for asynchronous apps - development headers, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libbitcoin-dev
libbitcoin-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libbitcoin-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbitcoin-dev *
You will get with libbitcoin-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
